No. SiteOpens only sends alerts. You complete the reservation yourself on Recreation.gov.

What does SiteOpens watch?

SiteOpens starts with Recreation.gov campgrounds, permits, and walk-up sites, then expands to state parks and Parks Canada. We look for cancellations that match the place and dates you follow. You can also follow a closed place for a reopen ping. Ember can name a spring from Find A Spring. We do not ping openings there.

If Find A Spring lists it, we can name it. Most springs have no Recreation.gov reservation. We do not ping openings. We are not affiliated with Find A Spring, and we do not invent water quality or access.

What if a place does not need a permit?

If we know Recreation.gov does not take a reservation or permit, we tell you and show official hours, parking, and fees when Recreation.gov publishes them. You can follow it. If it is closed, we ping when official notices say it reopens. There is nothing to reserve. We still never book.

Is a site guaranteed when I get an alert?

Accepted Answer

No. Cancellations are unpredictable and openings can be rebooked quickly. An alert means a matching slot appeared — not that it will still be available when you check out.

No. We will never sell your personal information. We will never share it with advertisers, data brokers, or partners for their marketing or products. Companies we hire to host the site or send alerts you asked for may process only what they need to run SiteOpens — not a customer list for their own use.
